Susan graduated from the Crane School of Music with a bachelor's degree in music education, a concentration in special education music as well as a performer's certificate in voice. Her Master of Science degree is from SUNY Oswego in education. Having taught for many years at West Genesee, Susan is now choir conductor at Corcoran High School in the Syracuse City School District and is a professor for SUNY Potsdam, supervising their music student teachers in the Central New York area.

Susan has conducted many choral festivals, been a guest lecturer, is involved in musical theater and does private vocal coaching. Having been an exchange student in Germany, she appreciates the opportunity to brush-up on her German, enjoy new friendships and to expand her musical horizons. We feel fortunate to have her conduct the Deutscher Gesängverein.

After his graduation in 1970 from Indiana University School of Music, Ian was organist/choir director at St. Mark's Episcopal Church until 1973. Ian has directed the Syracuse Liederverein Chorus since 1980. He has also directed the Berwald Singers since 1978.

For the past twenty-five years he has been organist at Trinity Lutheran Church and a member of the American Guild of Organists-Syracuse Chapter.

Ian's singing career includes: Masterworks Chorale, Schola Cantorum, Deutscher Gesängverein and eight years with the Syracuse University Oratorio Society, singing Janacek's Mass at Carnegie Hall with the Syracuse Symphony. We feel fortunate to have him conduct the Syracuse Liederverein
